In November 2023, ESC held its first-ever Collective Learning Symposium: “What’s the New Normal?”. This Symposium represented a critical step in our work to create a culture of understanding, convening our community for a day of discussion, discovery, and growth.
Bringing together the insights of our consultants and the voices of those in the nonprofit sector, the day featured
- interactive, experiential learning, which expanded the notion of cultural competency to include building a culture that creates strength through diversity
- group discussions to process our learning together through the prism of our work at ESC
- a panel discussion with nonprofit leaders – including ESC clients and funders – sharing their insights on the sector today, the factors impacting nonprofits, and what ESC consultants should foreground in their approach to client work.
