Janet Levine

Janet joined ESC in 2023, enriching the team with her diverse expertise and skills. As a seasoned nonprofit consultant, she is instrumental in project managing consulting engagements, specializing in fund development, board governance, and strategic planning. Janet supervises projects from inception to execution, actively managing both client and consultant relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery.

With an illustrious background in sales and marketing within the graphic arts industry, Janet ascended to the role of CEO of a wholesale stationary manufacturing company before venturing into the realm of insurance sales for seven years. Additionally, Janet worked in higher education, notably as the Vice President of University Advancement at Cal State Dominguez Hills. For the last 16 years, Janet has operated her own consultancy, assisting nonprofit organizations predominantly in fund and board development, strategic planning, as well as succession and transition planning.

Janet’s advocacy extends beyond organizational boundaries, volunteering as a docent at the Museum of Tolerance and serving on the board of a number of professional associations including CASE and NCCCF.

In her free time, Janet likes to hike as well as nurture her intellectual curiosity through reading and writing. She also cherishes moments spent with friends, family, and her dog.
